Yamaha WaterCraft Wins Boating Industry Marketing Award for Best Mobile Application

KENNESAW, GA – October 31, 2011 – Yamaha WaterCraft, a division of Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., today received the 2011 Best Mobile Application award presented by the Marine Marketers of America (MMA). Yamaha was recognized for its pioneering mobile application designed for iPhone®, iPad®, and Android™ devices.

Yamaha developed its mobile application to be the go-to source for consumers and dealers to access all the latest product information, related videos, product comparison data, social applications and GPS based interactivity all on their mobile handset or tablet.

“We sought to educate consumers and dealers, and maintain strong brand awareness by utilizing a new media format,” said Yamaha Watercraft National Marketing Manager Bryan Seti. “The app allows consumers to quickly learn about Yamaha’s products, discover how they compare to the competition, view rich media of every model in every color on the water, view specs and interact via Facebook, Twitter and email to stay engaged with the brand.”
